Day 6: Relaxing in Tuscany

We had some ideas of exploring the nearby area, but instead we stayed close. We all needed a little R&R.

Good Morning Villa Casavecchia

Those of us staying in the old house all woke up inside mosquito nets. We didn’t have air conditioning so had to have the windows open to get a breeze. It was definitely an experience. It looks pretty and let’s hope functional.

A few of us went to the store to grab a bunch of essential supplies: pastries, bread, meats and cheeses.

Despite not being a coffee drinker, Corey became our local barista and learned how to use this Moka coffee maker.

Today was the day of researching which pool on the property was best. Yes, we were so fancy we had not just one pool, but two!

Pool 1 - overlooking Tuscan vineyards and olive trees.

We all took a little break from pool one and threw together some delicious meat and cheese sandwiches, then decided to go to pool two!

Stopped for a picture with these greats on the way.

Here is the pretty stoned path to pool two - a private fenced in area.

A look back at the house from the entrance to the pool.

And the whole crew made it this time. Happy hour by pool two!

Followed by our welcome dinner - a Tuscan BBQ.  I didn’t get a close up picture of the chef cooking over an open flame and smoking the rosemary in the process. But if you look really closely at the back of this picture, you can get a little taste of the experience.

The view from dinner was pretty amazing.

Really, the views from everywhere here are pretty amazing. These little cutes played and played and played.

We’re all here and we’re so happy.
